SURFACE LIBRARY GALLERY + ATELIER was founded in 2006, by painter James Kennedy and ceramic artist Bob Bachler, in the "Springs Historic Art District" of East Hampton, NY.
In 2017, Surface Library moved to Ancram, NY in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. The artist's studios are housed in the historically registered Simons General Store. Studio visits are welcomed and can be arranged by request at info@surfacelibrary.com
